Zephyr the Zebra Shark

Zephyr is a real cool dude who plays by his own rules, he's a Zebra Shark, even though he has spots! 

Zebra Sharks are stripey as pups but as they get older their markings spread and turn into spots. It was once thought that Zebra Sharks and Leopard Sharks were separate species, but genetic testing found they were actually the exact same animal.

A leopard shark doesn't change its spots, unless it is actually in fact a Zebra Shark!

Zephyr is hand painted with non-toxic fabric dye to do justice to his truly unique markings, so although they will be similar to those pictured his skin patterns will vary slightly. 

Designed and handmade with love in Tasmania, using primarily sustainably sourced materials. This makes him incredibly tactile, with a variety of textures to explore, especially his fluffy belly! 

Zephyr is on a mission to spread the word about the environmental changes endangering our oceans/waterways, one cuddle at a time!

Unlike most plush toys on the market, rather than being stuffed with purpose made polyester fibre, Zephyr is full of recycled PET derived from recycled plastic bottles. 

Each Zephyr repurposes 60 plastic bottles, which can be recycled again at the end of his long and happy life.
