A white-bellied sea eagle takes flight over Georges Bay, keeping a steady eye on the water below for breakfast. Framed by ferns and coastal vegetation, The Morning Shift is a glimpse of one of the bay’s regulars getting on with the day, as well as my own daily routine of attempting to photograph them.

Cyanotype is an early photographic process where negatives are placed on top of a light-sensitive emulsion, then exposed to UV to create an image.
